Services - CB Channel Usage

Many of the listed channel usages below are generally accepted use among CB operators.  Although the channel usage is not designated by law many of the designations have been in place since CB radio was first used in Australia.  One of the exceptions to this is the use of the Emergency Channels (5 & 35 on UHF, & 9 on HF).  These emergency designations are legally recognized.  You must not use these channels except during an emergency.

There are specific conditions regarding personal conduct during operation of a CB radio station, and penalties apply for improper conduct. In particular, the CBRS class licence states that: A person must not operate a CB station in a way that would be likely to cause a reasonable person, justifiably in all the circumstances, to be seriously alarmed or seriously affronted, or for the purpose of harassing a person.

Here you will find information relating to over-seas CB call frequencies.
